Basin Transit will be releasing a new RFP in the late fall of 2025 that will result in a Multiple Award Joint Procurement for Cutaways and Vans, RFP #26-02. Awards are anticipated to be made by late spring 2026. CALACT is now conducting a survey to collect quantities for participating and interested agencies who would like to use these future procurement options for gas, diesel and CNG cutaways and vans. The current procurement for electric cutaways and vans is still valid, and electric vehicles will be included in a future procurement.
Transit agencies must complete the survey by November 4, 2025, if you wish to use the procurement for your vehicle purchases from 2026-2031. The responses from the survey will be used to establish a scope of work for agencies. Please use the survey link below and have your purchasing manager or authorized agency representative complete the survey using your long-term transit plan, fleet replacement schedule or asset management plan to forecast purchases for the next five years. Please complete the survey by November 4, 2025.
Please fill out the minimum and maximum quantities based on the reasonable and foreseeable needs identified in your service planning process for any purchases you may make during the contract period, (2026-2030). Please only indicate “0” if no purchases are anticipated each year.
