| Save the Date for the Hydrogen Funding Lane A launch date for the Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero-Emission (EnergIIZE) Commercial Vehicles project’s next funding lane has been set! The Hydrogen funding lane application window will open for two weeks, beginning at 9 a.m. PT on April 27, 2023, and lasting through 5 p.m. PT on May 12, 2023. The total amount of funding available will be announced at a later date. The Hydrogen funding lane offers the highest incentive funding cap of all four EnergIIZE funding lanes. The funding lane covers 50 percent of eligible equipment and software costs for standard projects, up to $3 million per project. If the applicant also meets the Jump Start criteria, then 75 percent of eligible equipment and software costs are covered, with the maximum amount rising to $4 million per project. To be eligible for funding, commercial fleets or station owners must meet the following MD/HD infrastructure requirements: The project must be intended for deployment of hydrogen refueling equipment for MD/HD hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. Refueling stations must be capable of dispensing 350 or 700 bar and be certified to ASME, ASTM, and NFPA standards. EnergIIZE will host a Hydrogen Application Process Workshop on April 5, 2023, at 9 a.m. PT.
