The San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority (RTA) seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide Demand Response Scheduling and Dispatch Software. Qualified firms will have strong experience in all aspects of demand response operations, including but not limited to scheduling, dispatching, labor/union rules, reservation policies, etc., as they pertain to providing transportation compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, complementary paratransit, local general public demand response services, route deviation service, etc. The Demand Response Scheduling and Software systems shall use the state-of-the-art automatic vehicle location (AVL) using global positioning satellite (GPS) technologies, and mobile data computer (MDC) technology available in terms of hardware and software. The system shall be hosted by the successful vendor and easily accessed by authorized RTA employees.
