City of Union City – RFP – Provide Operations and Maintenance Services for Public Transit Operations

“The City of Union City Public Works Department Transit Division, d.b.a. Union City Transit (City) is requesting proposals from responsive and responsible firms (Proposers) that specialize in providing operations and maintenance services for public transit operations within the United States. The selected Proposer will receive a contract to provide four (4) different programs for a base period of two (2) years with three (3) one (1) year options for a potential total of five (5) years to be known as services to the consumer: Union City Transit fixed-route service; Union City Paratransit Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and non-ADA paratransit services; Union City Flea microtransit service; and Ride-On Tri-City! wheelchair accessible van (WAV) service. All interested Proposers must submit proposals inclusive of all four (4) mentioned programs. The City will not be performing maintenance on City-owned vehicles in-house; therefore, the City requires that all Proposers submit bids WITH maintenance included. Any interested Proposers shall respond in accordance with the instructions that follow

 

The contract will be regulated according to the provisions of the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Transportation Development Act (TDA) as amended and other applicable Federal, State and local laws or regulations. This project is federally and locally funded. Federal funds will be used on this project requiring the selected proposer to adhere to Federal, State and local operations, maintenance and administrative reporting requirements.
