On March 31, 2026, FTA posted Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 apportionment tables that specify funding to states, urbanized areas, and Tribal governments based on statutory formulas. The FY 2026 FTA program apportionment tables allow transit providers nationwide to move forward with applications for FY 2026 funds to support expanding and modernizing transit systems and operations.
In addition, on April 1, 2026, FTA released the FY 2026 Certifications & Assurances (C&As) for grant recipients to execute. The FY 2026 C&As are posted on FTA’s website along with a “redline” version showing changes between the 2025 and 2026 versions. Execution of C&As is accomplished electronically in FTA’s Transit Award Management System (TrAMS).
A recipient of financial assistance typically must execute C&As in the current year in which the recipient applies for an award or an amendment to an existing award. The annual C&As must be completed within 90 days of the FTA publication date or before any grant submission.
